more packagery

Got another package in today.

Two Ginga Eiyuuden references. You truly are the king of nerds.

Aaaaaand it's Hayate no Gotoku volume 31. And ACE R, which I heard (from the guy who sent me this) that it's kind of the worst in the series. Wahoo.

Also it smells like cigarettes.

But is still thing and Hayate comes with the movie so yay interwebs friends.

And now I will talk about dolls.

Yeah... now that I have Koron, I'm really glad that Marisa was my first Pureneemo. Koron is of a FAR higher level of quality than Marisa, and I would have been seriously disappointed if I'd already been used to said level.

Marisa's outfit.

Everything's pretty simple velcro and elastic, though her skirt does have a clasp and the apron is fastened by a metal snap.

Koron's outfit.

Her main dress has an actual zipper, the apron bit has both clasps and snaps, the collar and ribbon are clasps and the rest is elastic. Doesn't look like horribly much on a table like this, but it has a LOT of volume when it's all on her.

Marisa's, on the other hand, is exactly what it looks like. :/

Probably the biggest surprise when I got Koron was the hair. She has like twice the actual amount as Marisa, and it's also rooted lower so I don't have to worry about it looking weird.

So yeah. Koron is crazy high quality, far more than I was expecting. Cute as hell too.

I still heart Marisa, though.

Switched them just because, and I am never doing it again. I have a newfound respect for blogpeoples who do daily pictures of them in different outfits each day. orz

Majokko Koron

Continuing the Christmasness, another friend sent me something from Mandarake.

Ex Cute Majokko Koron, little witch of the wind.

I've been wanting this one since Azone first did a display at the summer Wonfes because DEAR GOD SO CUTE AAGH, but I had no money at the time and so I wasn't able to preorder. >_<

But no worries, as interwebs friends is the best kind of friends and yay.

Too busy to take any proper pictures at the moment, but ころんちゃんチョーかわいいんだZE

More Christmas things.

Package came in Thursday from a friend of mine. Yay Christmas presents and all that.

Aaand now I have Disgaea 2. Finally.

Too bad the damned thing is addicting as hell, I should have beaten Destiny DC by now but I got totally sidetracked with building my little army. >_<

Current MVP is Pleinair, despite having reincarnated her at level 1 so as to not completely ruin the game balance.

package

Got a package this morning.

The utmost in nerdery.

Both the mailman and the person who answered the door this time were confused as hell. orz

Opened it up, and...

Yay for new games that I can't play yet.

Also, NEEEEEEEEEEEERD.

The other side of the cardboard. Hi AGE.

Opened the case to check the instructions out (upon second thought, I probably shouldn't do that because lol spoilers), and yeah.

Graces F (1)

So I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas, and I've been compiling a list of what games I want.

Surprisingly, it's not that long.

Anyways, I saw Tales of Graces F for relatively cheap on Ebay, so I snatched that up and it came in on Monday.

And now I have the same game twice. Wahoo.

Considering that the Wii version is like my second favorite game in the history of ever (Chrono Trigger is #1 now and forever), I'm not too annoyed. If anything, I have an excuse to play through it again so yay.

And having looked through my savedata from the Wii version, I'll be able to get all the options I want in the Grade Shop just by playing normally.

Now is the waiting game to when I'll actually be able to play the damned thing...

CHIA IRASSHAI

...so yeah, this is the front of a local Japanese restaurant.

Took this picture because lolwut.

Gensou Shoujo Taisen Kou (2)

So for whatever reason, I started up Reimu's route in Gensou Shoujo Taisen Kou on Saturday.

Was just dicking around because why not, but then I got to the mission where Sanae shows up, beats the crap out of Reimu, and then leaves... and my soul of a gamer went all nutty figuring out a way to surround and defeat her before she retreated.

And then I remembered that Yuuka is another boss who does the exact same kind of thing... but to a far worse degree.

I'd given up on beating her my first time around because I assumed that it wasn't possible, but I looked up videos on Niconico anyways to see if anyone had actually managed to beat her and get the Taiyou no Hana that she carries (10% EN regeneration!), and lo and behold, it is in fact doable.

So cue me spending the next two days and two stages figuring out a way to get Reimu and Keine's stats high enough to actually stand a chance of beating her... she runs away at 7500HP, which is very much UGH WHY.

And then... I did.

First try was a bust as my max damage was like 7450 or something similarly bullshit, so I tried shuffling around some character skills and yeah. VICTORY with like 50-ish HP to spare.

...and now I am completely mentally exhausted, as this crap has been consuming my every thought since Sunday night and yeah. Zenigame brain hurt.

BUT HELL YES I ACTUALLY BEAT YUUKA.

Shirokoi (1)

Been playing Hakuisei Renai Shoukougun lately, hereforth shortened to "shirokoi" because I am too lazy to type out the entire title every time.

It's pretty nice so far, though the beginning was reeeeally technical. Random medical terms EVERYWHERE. Fortunately, they have a popup glossary thing for most of the uncommon terms, which really helps out. Haven't played a game that had one of those since Alicematic.

Mainchara Kaori was a bit annoying at first, since she had a tendency to freak out every time someone mentioned something like the importance of not mixing up drug names and whatnot, which is aagh because DID YOU NOT GRADUATE FROM NURSING SCHOOL HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS STUFF!?

I mean, shit. I know most of the stuff they talk about (I do have like five nurses in my immediate family, but still), but there should be a better way to bring it up in-game than making the protagonist seem completely incompetent.

But meh, her dumbness level has steadily gone down as I've progressed, and Sayuri's really been getting at her about it now that she's shown up.

My main issue thus far is that I started the game with no opinion as to who to go after, and then the kansaiben-speaking Yamanouchi won me over... but I found out upon some poking around that she doesn't actually get a route to herself. >_<

BAH. I hate it when shit like this happens, now I'm probably going to get a Bad End.

...and all of my anger

So I had a few dollars to spare a couple of weeks back, so I decided to start on the first on my "to get" list on the sidebar over there- the Noblelige volume 1+2 boxset.

I've had my eye on the series for almost a year now, and was all "yay im finally gettt" and so I downloaded the demo to help ease the anticipation.

But then this bullshit happened.

FUCK YOU VISUALART'S GOD DAMN IT

I mean, shit. This is some bullshit when it's on eroge BUT THIS ISN'T EVEN ONE SO WHY THE FUCK AGHAGAHGAHAGHAGHAGH

And worst part is, if it actually was an eroge, the pirate horde would have made a patch for it to bypass the region lock by now... but yeah. It's bullshit.

BUT A ZENIGAME SHALL NOT BE DETERRED.

Whenever I get around to building Gospel 4, I'll be putting a Japanese copy of Windows on it just in case this bullshit protection spreads.

Seriously, though. FUCK YOU, VISUALART'S.

So instead, I moved on to the second item on my list- Hakuisei Renai Shoukougun.

Came in last Monday, but I'm not starting it until I clear Sora no Kiseki FC.

...which should be in the next hour or so. Wahoo.

千影~ (*゚∇゚)ノ

Got Chikage back from the shop on Wednesday, a full week earlier than they said the repairs would be done.

The back monitor panel was replaced on account of being kind of broken, and the fan got replaced because it turns out that the old one was ground to hell.

So in all, the parts for this repair job were like $90, and with the replacement battery and piece of shit AC adapter I got a while back, the warranty pretty much paid for itself. Yay.

So yeah, MY CHIKAGE HAS RETURNED TO MEEEEEE.

Just in time too, since there's going to be construction going on in the room where I keep Gospel and so it's going to be out of commission for a while. >_<

And now for a declaration.

I SHALL 1CC TOUHOU CHIREIDEN BY THE MONTH'S END OR GO MAD TRYING.

I've had the game for well over a year now, and I would really like to be able to move on to Seirensen already.

Chikage~ ;0;

Chikage, my laptop, has had a really annoying issue where its fan would rattle like mad whenever it gets too hot. This has been going on since around March, probably earlier.

So I took it back to Best Buy back in July, since I have a two-year warranty on it... and found out that they'd have to send it into the shop and I'd probably lose all my saved whatevers.

Now, the only things I actually keep on Chikage are games and random episodes of whatever that I've downloaded and have yet to watch, but yeah. It took forever for me to back all my shit up, and then I kept dicking around for months since the prospect of not having a laptop for a prolonged period of time is kind of ugh to think of.

But yesterday, I finally got around to taking it back to the store... and the fan would not fucking rattle, despite having done that shit right before I left the house.

So yeah, bullshit. And the guy at the store said that they'd end up charging me $30 if they couldn't reproduce it themselves so bah.

So I left the damned thing on overnight, and then ran Youyou Kengeki Musou at full specs since that is a CPU-killer... and yay.

Went into the store, the guy at the counter was a total bro and gave me no hassle at all, and now I am out a laptop for at least two weeks.

I MISS YOU ALREADY, CHIKAGE. ;0;

Gensou Shoujo Taisen Kou CLEAR

I cleared Marisa's route in Gensou Shoujo Taisen yesterday.

Friend of mine decided to download it because he is a dirty pirate and so that shamed me into clearing the last four stages, on account of me having owned this game since June and yeah.

All spellcards captured, all wifepoints GET.

Last stage was Flandre, which took me two fucking hours to complete.

Pictures...

Here's my team, sorted by level. Marisa is seven kills from making Ace. Next closest is Nitori somehow, and then Alice. (though this is not reflected in their levels)

Aaand here are Marisa's stats. Highest of any of my characters, and she's also the only character I have who learned Nekketsu. Combined with Master Spark, the strongest attack in base damage for any allied unit, I was able to finish off Flandre with like 12000 damage worth of overkill.

And now I get to wait until Spring for You to come out, as it got delayed again. Whee.

A few weeks ago on IRC:

And then on Monday, this came in the mail. By EMS, even.

Nice job on the names there.

And the contents...

Katekyo Hitman Reborn can badges
Muv-Luv Alternative book thingy
2011-2012 calendar
Hello Kitty light-up mascot thing (wut)
Chibi Maruko-chan cellphone strap (seriously, wut)

But yeah, now I have Animation Master 03 and Sora no Kiseki FC. Yay interwebs friends and all that.

Marisa GET

So yesterday, my Pure Neemo Marisa doll finally came in.

Looks like the boxes for this series is will all be "generic Touhou box," the identifying stuff like the character name and parts list are all stickers that go onto it.

So I took her out of the box and fixed the ribbon on her braid (you have to do it yourself) and 魔理沙かわいいよ魔理沙

Parts list said "five types of hands," which I was totally fine with. But then I open the box and she has a total of ten different pairs of hands. Holy shit.

Azone's Pure Neemo body looks nice, but the poseability is pretty limited. The shoulders and hips only move front and back, which kind of limits the amount of dumb stuff I can do with her. :/

The Obitsu body looks to have a full range of articulation, but I don't care for the way the joints look... yay tradeoffs.

And then I got stupid:

DOUBLE MASTER SPARK

Marisa stole the precious thing

I'm totally going to use this as my avatar on fg-Site.

So yeah, after seeing how SUPER MEGA ULTRA CUTE Marisa was, I finally broke down and preordered Remilia. Shame that Reimu and Sakuya are kind of eh, but I suppose it's better on my wallet this way.

Kuttsukiboshi (part 1)

...so I finally got around to watching Kuttsukiboshi.

I first heard about it sometime last year, but it wasn't out yet and so I put it in the back of my mind... and then I stumbled across the official site again last week and after going ガチ百合キタァァァ~ (ノ>ω<)ノ for a bit, I went about obtaining the first episode.

So... holy shit that was a lot dirtier than I was expecting. Still nice, though. And the end... GOD DAMN IT WHEN THE FUCK DOES THE SECOND PART COME OUT I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS SHIT ENDS GAAAAAAAAH.

Just... goddamn. Cliffhangers are bad enough on their own, but they're especially AGH-inducing in indie projects like this which have a tendency to not get completed. >_<

But once the second part is released (knock on wood), I will buy that shit right the fuck away, no question.

Even if it ends badly.

Please don't end badly. ;0;

On another note, Mingos played Kiiko in this... she's been in quite a bit of yuri stuff lately. Not that I'm complaining, though.

Kind of a shame that they didn't have her do the ED theme since, you know, MINGOS.

But meh, it was probably budget stuff or whatever.

エロゲ

This be all the PC eroge that I currently own.

...well, Umineko and Polyphonica aren't exactly ero, but yeah.

Despite having had these for years now (the most recent thing I bought was Campanella back in January of 2010), I don't think I've even cleared half of these. :/

Counting...

cleared:
Furifuri
Vanish
Shukufuku no Campanella
Gouen no Soleil
Shuumatsu Shoujo Gensou Alicematic
Colorful Aquarium
Hidamari
North Wind
Kanojotachi no Ryuugi

stalled midway:
Tears to Tiara
Arpeggio (currently playing)
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Engage x Links
ExE
Soul Link (gave up on this one)

have yet to even play:
Haru no Ashioto (not counting the demo)
Tiara
Tsunagaru Bangle
Tick! Tack!
Majipuri
Primitive Link
Tan.
Zettai Shiawase Sengen
Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica THE BLACK

So... that's nine out of twenty-four cleared, and the same number hasn't even been played.

Considering how much money I've spent on these things, I really should get around to finishing them.

...and this isn't counting the galge I have for the PS2, which include Nanatsuiro Drops, Parfait, ToHeart 2, and some other stuff.

Gaia Memory Complete Selection 2

Two weeks ago, I got a package in the mail.

Damn that's huge.

And inside the huge box, there were two more huge boxes.

And yet another huge box... of awesomeness. This shit made me remember just how much I miss this show.

FUCK YOU I HAVE ALL THE GAIA MEMORIES

Kind of lame though, the vast majority of these only have the memory name and insert sounds when the button's pressed.

Only Joker, Eternal and the second Skull memories have the full Driver sounds, I assume because they're the ones that were used with the Lost Drivers in the movies.

The gold-tipped Accel memory has what I'm assuming are the full sounds as well, probably for CYCLONE ACCEL EXTREEEEEEEME.

Bomb just has the name and Maximum Drive sounds, and the large Accel memory is for the Booster upgrade in his solo movie that I still have yet to see.

But yeah. It may have just been an overpriced box of sound drops, but I don't regret getting it at all.

Figuarts Skull, on the other hand, is kind of a disappointment. I'm probably going to end up selling mine. :/

The final Borders haul

Borders died today, so I went out there to salvage what I could. There wasn't much left. :/

No idea why I bought most of this, but eh. Five dollars total, and I'll probably end up selling what I don't want later.

late arrival

Oh look, I got a late birthday present today.

Haha, M. Zenigame. Makes it almost sound French.

Aaaaand it's MOTHERFUCKING BLAZBLUE. Nice.

Kind of sad that a random interwebs buddy did more for my birthday than anyone in my family did... but eh.

Dog Days completed

Just finished Dog Days.

This show was waaaaaaaaaaay better than expected. The first half was pretty much just silly fluff with nice production values, but the second half got serious and yeah. Really nice ending, and I am hoping for a sequel.

Dunno how likely that is, though... but the flow of merchandise is still coming, so there's hope maybe?

I really wasn't especting to get as invesed in the characters as I ended up being... now I need to get a Milhiore figure or plushie or something. MY INNER FANTHING HAS BEEN AWAKENED AND MUST BE SATED.

Spring anime catchup

Due to me being lazy, I missed out on last season's anime entirely. So for the past two weeks, I've been playing catchup.

Been watching about nine episodes a day, and at this point I only have one show left to start on. With any luck, I'll be done entirely by next Wednesday or so.

What I've been watching...

Nichijou-
Funny as HELL. I haven't laughed so hard at a show since Ikamusume and Milky Holmes were on air. Also, Hakase is fucking adorable. Painfully so.

Steins;Gate-
THIS SHOW IS AWESOME. Started out strong, and then with the plottwist in episode twelve it gets super awesome. This is the only time I can think of where my favorite character in a galge adaptation was actually the protagonist.

Sengoku Otome Momoiro Paradox-
Started out as stupid fluff, and then got legitimately good when they finally got to the Akechi and Ieyasu subplots later on. Most of the yuri teasing was just teasing and the very end got on my nerves, but it was still enjoyable for the most part.

A Channel-
Cute girls doing cute things. It was a cute show and didn't try to be anything more, and I am perfectly fine with this. My only complaint was how they forced an insert song into every episode... while they eventually figured out how to not make it seem unnaturally placed, they really broke the flow of the episodes before that point.

Astarotte no Omocha!-
Yay the kind of show that is made just for a Zenigame. Cute as hell, despite alll the dirty jokes... in the end, it was just a story about a lonely girl who missed her mother. I will say that their family situation is all kinds of fucked up, though.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko-
SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAFT.
Nice show, though nothing was really resolved... but the style was nice and the charadesigns were great and Meme is YES PLEASE.

Hidan no Aria-
KUGYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, part the second.
She got her usual typecast role this time around, the violent tsundere loli character. But that happens to be what I like, so no complaints there. The characters were likeable, the action scenes were pretty nice, and yeah. I hope it gets a sequel.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai-
Dammit this show. It's REALLY FUCKING GOOD, but also incredibly depressing. Like, the last episode had me feeling like someone had punched me in the throat, and a friend of mine was crying outright. Aagh.
Still fucking great, though.

Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san-
Stupid and vulgar and mean-spirited. There's only like one likeable character in the entire thing, but I'm pretty sure that was the point. Still really funny when it wanted to be, though.

Tiger & Bunny-
HEROISM AND PRODUCT PLACEMENT.
Despite the CG which still bothers me, the show itself is pretty damned good. Still bugs me how Tiger gets treated like shit by pretty much everyone, but eh.

Dog Days-
I was expecting a standard "boy gets summoned to another world to become its saviour" show, but... yeah. Everything is just a game, and the show thus far is just silly fluff. Episode six's cliffhanger has me expecting a shift in tone, but who knows about that.
Still has the best action scenes and voice cast of any show of its season, though.

Ao no Exorcist-
Read the manga, and the anime actually does the dramatic bits more effectively. I'm pretty surprised by this, considering that that doesn't usually happen... ever.

Shukufuku no Campanella clear.

Finished Shukufuku no Campanella... back in June. Wow, I've really been slacking on updating this blog.

It was pretty fun, and I wish I'd have finished it earlier. My only real complaint is that Nina's story was a total copout. Just... ugh. He forgot everything that happened because he was drunk, and she didn't bother telling him because she didn't want things to change between them... AAGH.

In the end, my personal route ranking...

Agnes > Minette = Chelsea > Tortillas > Carina >>>>> Nina.

Shame too, I liked everyone in the cast.

And I'm going to have to get the fandisc at some point, as it gives the Tortillas a proper path and I really want to play through that.

Also, Agnes with her hair down is LOVELY.

Omega no Shikai demo CLEAR

After listening to Ythm for the thousandth time, I finally decided to check out Omega no Shikai itself.

Unfortunately for me, its demo was a HUGE bitch to find, as Nekobanana's official site has no links to the damned thing. I ended up getting it off of 2ch, since someone was kind enough to post the direct link there.

I ended up finishing it the other day, and... I MUST HAVE THE FULL VERSION.

The story was interesting, and I am left wondering what the hell's going on with the incoherent ranting that interspersed the main chapters with Makoto and friends.

As for the characters themselves, Miya is awesome. And she seems to be the female lead so yay. The rest of the cast is also yay.

Though the demo ends just before I assume the crazy shit starts going down, and the exact point where it stops had me AGHAHGAGAHGAGHAAHGAHAGHAGHAGHing for a good while... now I'm going to have to go out of my way to find a copy off Yahoo Auctions or the like since game piracy goes against my Justice.

Bleh.

...but with that done for now, I guess I can go back to the things that I've been putting off... and maybe now I can get back to Campanella. Had I been playing that instead of messing around with this demo, I'd have cleared the game by now...

仮面ライダーアギト PROJECT G4

I just got done watching Kamen Rider Agito: Project G4, after putting it off for... ten years. Yay me.

It was actually really good, too. I was expecting it to be merely meh like a lot of Rider movies get, but it turned out as more or less a really long higher-budget episode of the TV show, so all was good.

High points:

Gills getting his arm torn clean off and then growing that shit back like motherfucking PICCOLO before going Exceed and murdering the hell out of an Unknown.

Main theme (24/7 version) queueing up as Shining Agito finishes off the Queen Ant Unknown.

MANLY BATTLE OF MANLINESS between G3-X and G4, culminating in Ozawa telling him that G3-X has no way to win against the technically superior G4, so he should instead fight as HIKAWA MAKOTO.

Then we get Kaname Jun in-suit, battle damaged, fighting in the climax of the film. That shit was SO AWESOME.

I don't care what anyone says, Hikawa is the real main character of that show.

...oh, and FUJIOKA MOTHERFUCKING HIROSHI, as the head of the police department, telling Shouichi to fight in his stead. My soul nearly exploded from how awesome that was.

So yeah, good movie. Now I can finally get around to finishing the show.

DS tsumige

Here be my aforementioned DS tsumige pile. I made a point back in January to finally finish it, and now I have so wahoo.

First was Devil Survivor, which I've had since around August of 2009. (that year sucked for various reasons.) I walked the path of Shura and cleared it in January.

Then was Dragon Quest V, which a friend got me for Christmas two years ago. Japanese version because why the hell not. And the shit I found out later about its localization really bugged the hell out of me, so that really was for the best.

Really good game, it kept me from doing much else while I was playing it. Though Jesus Christ that game was depressing as hell. Its main character had like the shittiest life ever.

Then I finished off Black Sigil, ehich I've had since launch. It was pretty enjoyable despite its faults. I kind of wish there was more of an epilogue, but it did do well with showing what hapened to the characters after the final boss was killed so eh.

Then was Mugen no Frontier, which started out as a goofy fanservice game in the beginning and then changed into HOLY SHIT HAKEN IS SUCH A MAN in the end bits. I'm going to have to get the ssequel eventually.

And finally was Mugen Kouro, which I've already gone over.

It's nice to finally clear a stack of games like that, but now I have nothing to play... I could get back to my PS2 games, but meh.

ポケモン図鑑完成!

やっとできました!

On Sunday, I finally managed to complete my zukan entries in Diamond.

This is the first pokemon game in which I've actually done this, and I've been playing the series since the very beginning.

...that's actually kind of sad.

HOW LAZY AM I!?
